Rolex Models Discontinued in 2025 - Farwell Celebration Dial and Milgauss

Rolex has made some big moves in 2025, quietly retiring a handful of models that many collectors and everyday watch lovers have come to admire. Some of these came as no surprise, but a few have definitely raised eyebrows.

Let’s start with the one that’s made the most noise: the Oyster Perpetual Celebration Dial. This vibrant, playful design with its confetti-style dots stood out from the moment it launched. Whether you loved it or didn’t quite get it, there’s no denying it became an instant talking point. Now that it’s been discontinued, I expect demand (and prices) to climb - especially for the 41mm version.

Another big surprise this year was the quiet farewell to the Datejust 31 with floral motif dials. These were some of the most elegant, artistic Datejusts Rolex has ever released. With beautiful detailing and diamond accents, they offered something truly unique in the collection. Now gone, they’ll likely be future classics - especially in blue and green.

We also saw the official end of the Milgauss, a watch that’s been part of Rolex’s lineup since the 1950s. Known for its quirky lightning bolt second hand and anti-magnetic build, it’s always had a cult following - particularly the Z-Blue version.

And one of the quieter but more significant changes has come to the Day-Date 36 collection. Rolex has discontinued several configurations that featured diamond-set President bracelets paired with fluted bezels - a classic high-luxury combo. This setup has long been favoured by clients who want the Day-Date’s elegance with an extra level of opulence. Losing these options marks a real shift in Rolex’s styling direction and has already prompted an uptick in enquiries from collectors looking to secure one before they disappear completely from the market.

If any of these models were on your radar, now’s a smart time to act. We're already helping clients track down these discontinued pieces, and I’d be glad to assist you too.
